Her deep knowledge and love for crafting truly personalised journeys built the agency’s reputation for care, expertise and unforgettable experiences
After more than three decades leading the business, Heidi made the decision in 2025 to sell Global Village Travel to Ben Apsey of Global Travel Co. Ben now leads the Balmain office with a modern, independent spirit, bringing experience across hospitality, arts and travel and serving on the Travellers Choice Board of Directors. His travels span Europe, the UK, the USA, Southeast Asia, China, Qatar and the South Pacific, with a strong passion for rail journeys, cultural exploration and family travel
Heidi remains actively involved during the transition period, continuing to support her long-standing clients while the broader Global Travel Co team ensures the agency’s future remains strong, personal and community-focused.
